Religious Education

Religious Education at Casey Grammar is taught from a Christian worldview.

However, we recognise that our students come from many different religious backgrounds.

The Religion classroom is a place where different points of view and beliefs are welcomed and valued, as differences enhance the experience of learning. Through Religious Education, students engage with stories, whether from a Christian tradition or the stories of other community religions, in a meaningful, thought-provoking way.

They are encouraged to engage with the stories in a literary sense, as well as responding to the issues raised from the stories and connecting them to their lives. One important aspect of Religious Education as students mature through the Junior School, is the growth in critical thinking and questioning their own thoughts and beliefs.

Each year, students in Years 1, 2, 5 and 6 have the opportunity to participate in a Chapel Service.
