Wellbeing encompasses a young person’s physical, emotional and psychological health.
A growing body of credible research highlights the fact that wellbeing is essential for young people to live a rewarding life and to learn.
Wellbeing is not simply about feeling happy all the time, it is about having the skills, knowledge and resilience to cope with, and recover from, the inevitable challenges that arise in school and throughout life. It is also about being able to recognise and appreciate the positive things in your life.
Casey Grammar School’s wellbeing program is proactive and comprehensive and brings together many different elements that work together to support student wellbeing. All this is scaffolded by our evidence-informed Wellbeing Framework – PROSPER – that is based on the principles of positive psychology.
