Foundation L’s class assembly was a vibrant celebration of storytelling and music. The students brought Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar to life with charming dramatisation, acting out each stage of the caterpillar’s journey while weaving in cheerful songs that kept the performance lively and engaging.
The assembly reached its finale with a rendition of Golden by K-pop group BTS, which had the entire audience singing along with glee. Huge congratulations to Mrs Laidlaw and her talented students.
Foundation H’s assembly was a delightful journey into the woods, where the students performed their own adventure play inspired by their experiences throughout the year. As they travelled through the woodland setting, they revisited memorable moments such as the excitement of Cross Country, their Nature Navigators excursions, the joy of celebrating 100 days at school and the many challenges and triumphs that helped them grow.
Their performance was a heartwarming celebration of their learning and adventures together this year. Bravo to Ms Hodgkiss and her FH students.
The Performing Arts House Talent Show was a showcase of creativity and skill, with students competing across three categories, instrumental, vocal and dance. Each House performance highlighted the talent and confidence of the participants, who brought energy, passion and flair to the stage.
Sincere thanks to our Heads of House for organising this event, and congratulations to Leaver House who won the event, earning well deserved cheers and applause.
The Years 3 to 6 Swimming Carnival was a fantastic day of energy, teamwork and fun. Students competed in 50 metre races across all four strokes, showcasing impressive skill, determination and House spirit.
In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed a range of water games, with the splash park and the waterslide proving to be favourites. Laughter, cheers and plenty of splashes filled the air, making it a memorable carnival that celebrated both friendly competition and enjoyment. Congratulations to Reid, who took home the Cup.
Huge thanks to Ms Roffey and Mr Byrne-Nelson for their wonderful organisation and running of our most successful Swimming Carnival.

Year 4 Wild Adventure at Melbourne Zoo
Year 4 students recently enjoyed an eventful and memorable trip to Melbourne Zoo, perfectly linking with our inquiry unit Sharing Our Planet. The excursion gave students the chance to explore how animals depend on their environments, the impact of seasonal change and how we can each play a positive role in caring for the natural world around us.
Despite the typical Melbourne experience of four seasons in one day, our resilient students embraced every moment. While we expected many animals to be hiding from the weather, we were delighted to discover quite the opposite. The lemurs were found warming their bellies in patches of sunshine, while the meerkats seemed to love the drizzle, playfully darting around in the rain.
Students explored almost every corner of the zoo, from Lion Gorge and Gorilla Rainforest to Wild Sea and the Australian Bush. Each stop brought new excitement, laughter and opportunities to observe fascinating animal behaviours up close.
By the end of this wild adventure, the bus ride back to school was much quieter, a sure sign of a full day of learning, fun and unforgettable memories.

Year 1B – How to Make a Memory
On 30 October 2025, Year 1B presented their class assembly, How to Make a Memory. In preparation for their performance, students created treasure boxes and tiny memory books to capture their special moments. Together, they shared happy memories that made them laugh and smile, discovering how one memory often leads to another. Some memories took a little longer to surface, not forgotten, just waiting to be shared. It was a beautiful celebration of reflection, connection and the joy of remembering.
