From the Principal
February 25, 2026 – Edition 2
As we move further into the term, it has been wonderful to witness the energy, enthusiasm and sense of community that continues to shape our school. Across both the Junior School and Senior School, the past few weeks have been filled with meaningful learning experiences, moments of leadership and opportunities for families to connect with our staff and programs.
Senior School Highlights
Our Year 12 Leaders Commissioning Service was a beautiful and significant occasion. Standing before their peers, staff and families, the Class of 2026 pledged to serve our community with integrity, compassion and commitment. We look forward to the positive influence they will bring to the school this year.
It was equally pleasing to welcome such a strong turnout to the Year 7 Parent Information Night. The transition into secondary schooling is an important milestone, and it was heartening to see families engage so openly with our staff and the information presented. We appreciate the partnership that such engagement fosters.
Another standout moment was the successful Year 11 and Year 12 Rally Day, held in collaboration with Balcombe Grammar. The day showcased teamwork, sportsmanship and spirited competition across a wide range of events. A special thank you goes to our Head of Sport, Mr Ryan Murdock, for his outstanding leadership and organisation of the day.
Our Year 9 students also embraced a fantastic opportunity through their Enterprise Program at Casey Tech. This hands-on experience encouraged students to think critically, collaborate effectively and explore new technologies. These are skills we know will serve them well in their future pathways.
Junior School Highlights
The Junior School has been a hive of excitement as well. Our Parent Information Night provided families with the chance to meet their child’s 2026 teacher and explore the learning spaces they will call home this year. The positive energy and conversations throughout the evening reflected the strong sense of partnership we value so deeply.
Our Year 6 students recently returned from their educational tour to Canberra, where they engaged with Australia’s political and cultural institutions. Experiences such as visiting Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial help deepen their understanding of civics and citizenship in meaningful and lasting ways.
A highlight for many of our younger learners this week was Shrove Tuesday. Junior School students enjoyed delicious pancakes as they learned about the tradition and its place in the broader context of the season of Lent. It was a wonderful blend of learning and celebration.
Rounding out the week, the PFC hosted a very successful Foundation BBQ, bringing together our newest families to connect, celebrate and feel welcomed into our community. We are grateful for the commitment and enthusiasm of our parent volunteers who make events like this such a success.
