Exploring in Foundation
September 11, 2025
We’ve enjoyed a wonderful and busy few weeks in Foundation. During our Units of Inquiry, students have enjoyed exploring the wonderful world of Chemical Science, using their senses and observations to learn more about the world around them.
They particularly enjoyed our Science Week celebrations, which were filled with hands on activities and opportunities to experiment, wonder and explore. During our unit, students have also been focusing on how to ask effective questions, how to conduct an experiment and how to form a hypothesis. It’s been fantastic to see our Foundation learners developing their thinking skills and showing curiosity about the world.
Our students have continued to enjoy and engage in our Nature Navigators program, spending time outdoors and developing important physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills. These outdoor learning experiences allow students to explore and learn through nature. They are planning, creating and constructing with natural materials while developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills. The joy and enthusiasm they bring to these sessions is a pleasure to see.
We are so proud of the way our Foundation students are engaging with their learning!
