Wellbeing Curriculum

‘Casey Cares’ is a school-wide curriculum of knowledge and skills, taught from Foundation to Year 12.

The ‘Casey Cares’ curriculum is based on the PROSPER Wellbeing Framework. It incorporates Casey Grammar School’s commitment to Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships, the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) and our school values of Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Inclusion and Excellence.

The BSEM is an educator-designed, evidence-informed framework that equips teachers with practical tools to create classrooms where every student feels safe, engaged and ready to learn. It is built on over a decade of research exploring advances in trauma-informed education, wellbeing, positive education and the sciences of learning.

Casey Grammar School’s curriculum also supports and reinforces our key partnerships with external expert organisations including The Cyber Safety Project, Tomorrow Man and Tomorrow Woman, Toolbox Education and Body Safety Australia.

In Foundation to Year 6, the program is delivered by classroom teachers who are supported by external experts.

In Year 7 the program is presented by Year 7 Wellbeing Mentors and external providers, while in Years 8 – 12 the program is delivered in cross-age wellbeing mentor groups by House Wellbeing Mentors and external experts.
