VCE Drama Ensemble Performance
Last week, our Year 11 and Year 12 Drama classes presented their Devised Ensemble Performances to an audience. The ensembles were short plays completely written and created by the classes following a structure developed by their teacher Mr Peake.
Year 11 students performed ‘The Big Sting’ based on the world of heists and con artists, while Year 12 students performed ‘Escape’ based on the 1962 Alcatraz Prison escape. Both performances were part of an outcome for Unit 1 and Unit 3 and both classes were fantastic to watch on stage. With the ensemble task completed, both classes will now start to prepare for their major solo performances; which for the Year 12 students forms the basis of their external performance exam later in the year.
