A Wonderful Way to End Term 2

I hope that all families enjoyed a relaxing and restful King’s Birthday long weekend. It was great to see students return refreshed and ready for another busy fortnight of learning and opportunities across the Junior School.

We were recently treated to a fantastic assembly by 3N titled Discovering Decades. Students confidently shared their learning about the history, culture, music, fashion and significant events from the 1920s through to imagined glimpses of the future.

Their creativity, enthusiasm and depth of knowledge were outstanding. A particular highlight of the assembly was the final group performance, which included incredible audience participation and brought great energy and excitement to the room. It was wonderful to see students and staff so engaged and enthusiastically involved throughout the assembly. Bravo to Miss Nolan and her talented students!

Thanks to Miss Reale and the Foundation staff for organising the recent Nature Navigators excursion for our Foundation students. What a fabulous opportunity for our youngest students to spend time immersing themselves in the wonders of nature.

Last week, our 1B students delighted the audience with their creative assembly performance of Spiro the Spider. Students showcased wonderful creativity, confidence and teamwork as they brought the story to life. Families and students also had the opportunity to enjoy the impressive classroom artwork displayed throughout the presentation. We learnt an important message about how minibeasts work together quietly in the garden to help get things done. It was a joyful and imaginative performance that highlighted the many talents of our 1B students. Congratulations to Mrs Black and her students!

Thank you to our students and staff for their ongoing enthusiasm and commitment to making our Junior School such a vibrant and engaging learning community.

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for junior school students to join the Junior Keeper Club at Moonlit Sanctuary during school holidays please see flyer below.

Exploring the Australian Gardens

Our Foundation students recently enjoyed their first excursion to the Australian Gardens as part of the Nature Navigators program.

It was a wonderful opportunity for each student to connect with nature in such a beautiful outdoor environment. They built, played, explored and enjoyed the fresh air together while developing confidence and teamwork skills.

Thank you to our wonderful Foundation teachers, learning assistants and parent helpers for making it possible. We are very proud of our Foundation students for the way they embraced and enjoyed their first school excursion. It was a great success!

TeamKids Meeting Point for Foundation -Year 2 Students

The courtyard serves as the central TeamKids meeting point for Foundation to Year 2 students attending after-school care.

At the end of the school day, TeamKids staff collect Foundation students directly from their classrooms before meeting Year 1 and 2 students at the designated courtyard meeting point.

Once all students have arrived, TeamKids staff check students off their attendance list and walk together to the TeamKids program.

Older siblings are encouraged to meet here as well. This process helps ensure a safe and smooth transition from school to after-school care for all students.

Early Years Discoveries

Our Early Years students have been busy exploring, creating, and making exciting discoveries throughout the past fortnight. It’s been wonderful to witness the strong progress in their learning and growth.

Digital Playground Pioneers: Reimagined, Brick by Brick!

Year 4 students proudly celebrated their achievements by showcasing their completed Digital Playgrounds, highlighting the rich STEM and Digital Technology skills they have developed throughout the term.

Across the series of lessons, students engaged in the full design process by planning, designing, building and coding Lego models of interactive playground equipment, enhanced with coordinated lights, sounds and moving features.

Through this learning, students strengthened their computational thinking and problem solving skills while building confidence in coding and engineering concepts.

Their creative and imaginative designs offered a wonderful glimpse into future focused learning. It also offered an exciting way to bring to life digital playground experiences for students to enjoy during their playtimes.
