Mother’s Day Celebrations
Our Junior School community enjoyed a wonderful celebration of Mother’s Day filled with warmth, connection and appreciation for the special people in our students’ lives.
Throughout the week, students excitedly visited the Mother’s Day Stall, thoughtfully selecting gifts for their mums, grandmothers, and significant caregivers. There was a great sense of joy and anticipation as students carefully chose presents and looked forward to sharing them at home.
Our Foundation to Year 2 classrooms also welcomed mums and special guests for fabulous classroom visits. It was lovely to see students proudly sharing their learning spaces, activities and work with the important adults in their lives.
We also enjoyed a beautiful Mother’s Day Morning Tea, where mums, grandmothers and significant others gathered to share conversation, laughter and community. It was wonderful to see so many mums and caregivers able to join us for this special occasion.
We deeply value and appreciate the love, care, support and encouragement our mums and caregivers provide our students each and every day. We hope all of our families enjoyed a very special Mother’s Day!

National Road Safety Week 2026

17 – 24 May 2026
Getting children to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. During National Road Safety Week, our community is reminded to take extra care around schools, crossings and busy drop-off zones to help keep every child safe.
Whether you are driving, parking, dropping off or picking up, a few simple actions can make a big difference. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, stay alert and follow all school zone signs and road rules. Children can be unpredictable near roads, especially during busy school times, so extra caution is essential.
As part of National Road Safety Week activities, our Year 1 and 2 students participated in an engaging incursion with RACV Road Safety Squad, learning important skills for staying safe in the home and around roads and traffic. Foundation students also enjoyed the Stop. Look. Listen. Think. incursion, helping them understand how to safely cross roads and make smart decisions as pedestrians.
Parents and carers are reminded to think carefully about where they stop and park to avoid creating dangerous situations for students, pedestrians and other road users.
Many helpful links and informative resources can be found on the City of Casey website.
This National Road Safety Week, let’s all work together to create safer school journeys for every child, because getting children to school safely is everyone’s job.
Mother’s Day Classroom Visits
Our Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students were excited to welcome mums and special people into their classrooms last Friday to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Families enjoyed spending quality time together, taking part in a variety of fun classroom activities and creating special memories.
Thank you to all the mums and special visitors who joined us and made the celebrations so meaningful for our students. We hope you all had a beautiful Mother’s Day!

Trist Community Service
This Term, Trist house in both the Junior and Senior school are raising awareness and funds to support Fight MND.
Motor Neurone Disease, also known as MND is a serious, rare illness that damages nerves called motor neurons, which control muscles. It makes muscles weak, affecting the ability to walk, talk, eat and breathe. It is a progressive disease, meaning symptoms get worse over time.
We are raising money by asking students to preorder either a chocolate milk, oat chocolate milk or an apple juice which will be enjoyed on our ‘Wear a Beanie Day’ on Thursday the 4th of June.
Pre-orders for drinks will be open until Friday, 22 May. Thank you to those who have already ordered a drink. We look forward to seeing everyone in their beanies in a few weeks.

Year 4 City Camp
The Year 4 students recently enjoyed an exciting and memorable City Camp experience in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Staying at the CYC Camp, students had the wonderful opportunity to explore some of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks while building independence and resilience along the way.
Throughout the camp, students visited a range of famous attractions including the spectacular Eureka Skydeck, where they were amazed by the breathtaking views of the city skyline. They also explored the rich sporting history of Melbourne during their visit to the Melbourne Cricket Ground, learning about the importance of the MCG in Australian sport and culture. Another highlight was the visit to the Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, where students enjoyed discovering the incredible marine life and interactive exhibits.
The camp provided students with a deeper appreciation of the unique landmarks, history, and culture that make Melbourne such a special city to visit. Most importantly, the students represented Casey Grammar School with pride throughout the entire experience. Their excellent behaviour and positive attitudes were consistently praised by staff and members of the public.
A special thank you to the dedicated teachers who attended and helped make the camp such a positive and successful experience for all students. Their level of care and support ensured the Year 4 students created memories that will last for many years to come.

Southern Metropolitan Regional Swimming
After winning my freestyle and backstroke races, I went to the Southern Metropolitan Regional finals at YAWA Aquatic Center in Rosebud.
I was in the 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke events in the 12-13 years age group. I swam a freestyle time of 36.00 and a 41.71 backstroke time, placing 5th in backstroke and taking 0.8 seconds off my personal best. I finished 7th in freestyle with a 2.29 second improvement.
Overall, the day was action packed and fun. I am grateful for this opportunity to represent the school at the regional level.
