SIS Swimming

Yesterday the CGS Swim Team headed off at 7:30am to MSAC to compete in the SIS Swimming Carnival.

Traditionally swimming hasn't been our “thing” as a school, but yesterday CGS came second overall out of 7 other SIS affiliated schools, beaten only by John Paul College from Frankston. We managed to take out the U14 Girls and U17 Girls Championship pennants along with the “SIS Merit Award” which takes into account participation and sportsmanship.

The sense of camaraderie, pride, and determination in our students and their support and encouragement of each other was palpable. Not all students were keen to swim, but made the decision to still compete (and most placed) as they did not want to let their team down.

A big thank you also, to the staff that attended on the day.
