Casey Grammar School - Junior School - Performing Arts

Casey Grammar’s Junior School Performing Arts program provides students with wonderful learning and performing opportunities, which foster a lifelong passion for music and the arts. The classroom music program combines both the Orff Schulwerk and Kodály approaches to music education.

These philosophies use singing, movement, drama, and speech to develop an understanding of the elements of music.

All students from Foundation to Year 6 participate in a 50-minute lesson in which they create, improvise, analyse and perform using a variety of methods from percussion ensembles and ukuleles to iPads and Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software.

  • Year 5/6 Instrumental Ensemble Program

Junior School Private Instrumental Program

All Junior School instrumental students are collected/ returned to their classroom for their weekly half-hour lesson.

Our talented and friendly instrumental staff provide both group and individual tuition in the fabulously appointed Performing Arts Centre, located on campus.

Ensemble opportunities provided to instrumental students include:

  • Percussion Ensemble
